Sunday 28th March

True and humble king,
hailed by the crowd as Messiah:
grant us the faith to know you and love you,
that we may be found beside you
on the way of the cross,
which is the path of glory.
Amen.

Palm Sunday

We are gathering for worship on Zoom this Palm Sunday at 10am.

We remember Jesus' entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey and the praises of the crowd. This is the start of Jesus' journey to the cross and the demonstration of what true love really looks like.

Listen again to an audio of the sermon by Revd. Sarah Jones.

Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, ‘Hosanna!’
— Mark 11: 8-9

DIOCESE OF OXFORD: CHURCH AT HOME

Join the Diocese of Oxford at 10am to worship together on Palm Sunday. They are delighted to have Revd. Sarah Nesbitt, of the United Benefice of Shiplake, Dunsden and Harpsden, as the preacher for this morning, with Revd. Ross Meikle and the Taylor family leading a special procession of the palms.

The service features a dramatic reading of Christ’s Passion from the Gospel according to Mark.
